First Nations community preview with special guest Hayley Millar Baker, Welcome to Country and deadly feed.
This MFMF previews the Hayley Millar Baker: Selected Works exhibition — a solo exhibition of select moving image and photographic works, including the premiere of a new series of photographs set across local and neighbouring Aboriginal lands.
Hayley Millar Baker (Gunditjimara and Djabwurrung) is an artist from Narrm (Melbourne) whose work is politically engaged, spiritually resonant, and deeply human. She was shortlisted for the Australian Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Biennale and her work has been exhibited at major institutions including the National Gallery of Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria, and the National Gallery of Art (USA).
Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians Wyndham City Council recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first Peoples of Australia. We acknowledge the Bunurong and Wadawurrung Peoples as Traditional Owners of the lands on which Wyndham City operates. The Wadawurrung and Bunurong Peoples have and always will belong to the Werribee Yalook (river), creeks, stars, hills and red clay of this Country. We pay respect to their Ancestors and Elders who always have, and always will, care for Country and community today and for future generations.
