When you commission a new work, you want everyone to have the chance to hear it. That’s why the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is bringing Joe Chindamo’s brand-new Flute Concerto to Wyndham!
It will be under the hands of Australia’s charismatic flutist Eliza Shephard. Whether you appreciate an artist’s theatrical stage presence or astonishing technical skills, Shephard brings it all to the stage.
Chindamo is the MSO's 2026 Composer in Residence, and we’re presenting another one of his works, Fantasie auf Nachtmusik, which reimagines Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik.
The MSO will also be joined by Ngā Mātai Pūrua for arrangements of kapa haka performances to celebrate Māori culture in Melbourne.
